The Great Carl Butler Sings

I really love this album cover! It shows Carl doing what he did best, singing at the top of his voice! Carl sang like he wanted the whole world to hear him every time he was on stage.
Carl and Pearl wore the colorful Nudie suits of the day and they looked fantastic in them. Even their ties were flashy and they wore boots and shoes that went right along with the theme of the outfits.
This LP does not have their best selling song on it, this is just one of my favorite LP cover designs because it shows Carl in one of his nudie suits, singing and playing for the fans. Carl was a great singer! I have read a few posts on the internet that label Carl as "nasally" like Webb Pierce was. Carl was NOT nasally at all. He did have the twang in his voice of an East Tennessee mountain boy but he was not nasally.
Song list for this LP:
Side 1
Cry You Fool Cry
Your Cold Heart Told Me No
Kisses Don't Lie
I'll Go Steppin' Too
A Victim Of Lies
Side 2
My Cajun Baby
Borrowed Love
You Can't Insure A House Of Dreams
Jealous Heart
If I Could Spend My Heartaches
Give Carl and Pearl a listen. If you like REAL Country music, you will love Carl and Pearl.
Until next time, keep on Honky Tonkin !
